Structural Earthquake Engineering for Buildings is an educational and certification program lounched by EC2 Research & Development.
The program will be focused on:
1 – Seismic behavior of structural systems
2 – Proper selection and interpretation of analysis methods
3 – Logic of engineering decision-making
4 – Development of Performance-Based engineering thinking
The objective of the course is to contribute to the development of a professional environment in Georgia where engineering decisions are based on informed analysis, reasoned judgment, and international best practices.
The program will consist of 5 courses:
1 – Seismic Resilience and Seismic Hazard in Engineering
2 – Structural Dynamics and Seismic Loads
3 – Seismic Design and Detailing of Steel and Reinforced Concrete Buildings
4 – Seismic Analysis of Buildings
5 – Seismic Assessment and Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings
The lecture courses will be delivered by leading specialists practicing in Georgia.
Together, these courses form a coherent framework aimed at developing engineers capable of making informed, performance-driven decisions for buildings in real seismic conditions.
