We would like to share important news with you.

One of the courses in our program — Seismic Resilience and Seismic Hazard in Engineering — will be delivered by invited lecturer Nino Tsereteli,

Head of the Seismology, Seismic Hazard, and Disaster Risk Sector at the Geophysics Institute of Tbilisi State University, one of the initiators of the School of Construction at the Agricultural University of Georgia, and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

For many years, Nino Tsereteli has been actively involved in the international scientific and professional community, serving as a representative and member of European and global seismological organizations. Her professional activities include collaboration with institutions such as the European Facilities for Earthquake Hazard and Risk (EFEHR), the International Association of Seismology and Physics of the Earth’s Interior (IASPEI), the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), and the European Seismological Commission.

This lecture series is particularly important to us, as the quality of earthquake engineering begins directly with a proper understanding of seismological processes — from the earthquake source and recorded ground motions to the logic of seismic hazard assessment.
